The Amazing Race Hue – Viet Nam

As the imperial capital of Viet Nam for over 140 years, Hue carries the legacy of a bygone feudal era. Not only famous for its ancient citadel and majestic tombs, Hue is also renowned for the gentle beauty of its tranquil countryside. One such place is Phuoc Tich Village, located 40 km north of Hue city center, in Phuoc Phu Hamlet, Phong Hoa Commune, Phong Dien District. Established in 1470 during the reign of King Le Thanh Tong, Phuoc Tich boasts a rustic and peaceful charm, surrounded by the O Lau River, making it an ideal destination to explore the authentic beauty of local culture, history, and hospitality.

The village is home to a unique cultural heritage, with 26 ancient wooden houses, 17 ancestral temples, and several religious structures such as the communal house, pagoda, and shrine. Particularly notable is Phuoc Tich’s traditional pottery, which has been practiced for over 500 years, renowned for its rare technique of firing with rice straw. Phuoc Tich is not only a destination for admiring cultural heritage but also offers a chance to experience the simple, friendly life of its residents. Recognized as a national heritage site in 2009, Phuoc Tich is a pride of the locals and an ideal spot for those passionate about the cultural legacy of the ancient capital Hue.

By participating in The Amazing Race Hue at Phuoc Tich, you will not only face team-building challenges that carry your company’s message but also have the opportunity to explore the cultural and historical beauty of the ancient village. The creative challenges are designed to reflect traditional cultural values, helping you gain a deeper understanding of ancient architecture, daily life, and the long-standing pottery craft. You will experience activities such as painting conical hats, making traditional cakes, and testing your skills on the pottery wheel.
