Ho Chi Minh City was honoured to win major awards in three important categories, including: Asia’s Best MICE Destination, Asia’s Best Incentive Destination and ITE HCMC Fair was honored as Asia’s Best Trade Show. In 2024, this is the fifth consecutive year that Ho Chi Minh City maintains its position as “Asia’s Leading MICE Tourism Destination”, defeating many strong competitors from other countries. The city also hosted the MICE Awards ceremony for the first time, an important event for the MICE industry in the region.
According to Ms. Nguyen Thi Anh Hoa, Director of the Department of Tourism of Ho Chi Minh City, the city has identified MICE tourism as one of four key types of tourism that need strong investment. She emphasized: “This award not only proves the capacity and attractiveness of Ho Chi Minh City as a leading MICE destination but also strengthens the city’s position in the international marketplace.”
